A Major Blow for South Africa As Veteran Allrounder Misses Out On Historic Test Against Australia

South Africa is currently playing their first-ever test match against Australia. But before the test match, South Africa suffered a huge blow as their veteran all-rounder is all set to miss the historical test match.

South Africa’s skipper, Laura Wolvaardt, has revealed that South Africa will play the test match against Australia without the services of one of the biggest match winners, Marizanne Kapp, who is not well and will not be able to take part in the historic test match.

South Africa’s Skipper Laura Wolvaardt also believes that Kapp was one of the experienced campaigners of the game, and she will be missed during the game. She also believes that this is a big loss for her team, as Kapp was in tremendous form before getting into this series.

Talking about the match, the Australian team won the toss and elected to field first. South Africa will be a less experienced side as compared to Australia on paper, as four players, Tazmin Brits, Delmi Tucker, Malaba, and Hulbi, are making their debuts for South Africa in the red ball format.

On the other hand, Australia is also coming after facing a defeat in the test format for the first time against India in December 2023.

South Africa’s playing XI: Laura Wolvaardt (c), Anneke Bosch, Sune Luus, Tazmin Brits, Delmi Tucker, Chloe Tryon, Nadine de Klerk, Sinalo Jafta (wk), Nonkululeko Mlaba, Masabata Klaas, and Ayanda Hlubi.
