“He is a self …”Ex Pakistan Skipper massive critique of Babar Azam

Disgraced ex-Pakistan cricket captain Salman Butt criticized the current Pakistan team after they lost to India in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Trying to score 120 runs on a difficult New York pitch, Babar Azam’s team fell apart halfway through their innings and lost by six runs. Now, Butt is joining the criticism, especially targeting captain Babar Azam and player Shaheen Shah Afridi. He also claimed that the Pakistan players are doing PR campaigns on social media.

In a video that became very popular on X, Butt makes fun of the nickname ‘King’ given to Babar Azam.

Butt asked, “Someone (Babar Azam) calls himself the ‘King’, and another (Shaheen Afridi) claims to be the best bowler in the world; one is compared to Virat Kohli, the other to Jasprit Bumrah, but can they win games by themselves?”

“Sure, they were at the top of the ICC rankings at some point, but now it’s time to face the truth,” Butt said angrily.

Butt mentioned that people can spread any kind of story on social media, and suggested that the Pakistan team does this.

“The biggest problem with social media today is that you can promote anything if you pay for it,” Butt explained. “It’s important for smart and influential people in Pakistani cricket to avoid getting involved in these things,” he continued.

“First, you need to win a game, a major competition, battle hard to beat a strong team, and successfully complete a match on your own. After that, you can decide what you want to announce,” Butt added.

Pakistan were eliminated in the first round of the tournament itself despite reaching the finals in the previous edition.
