Team India’s former pace bowler Praveen Kumar slammed the Indian cricket board, demanding the same rules for each and every player. The cricket board in India announced the central contract for the players. However, as soon as the announcement was made, BCCI made it clear that each and every player in the contract who’s not playing international series for India needs to play domestic cricket.
The contract with Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer was terminated because both players were not playing domestic cricket, despite not being part of India’s squad.
Apart from these two, another player who came under scanner was Hardik Pandya. The all-rounder was kept on a Grade A contract in spite of not being part of both international and domestic cricket.
Speaking of the same on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, Praveen Kumar said, “Hardik Pandya chaand se thodi utar ke aaya hai? Khelna padega isko bhi. Kyun iske liye alag niyam hai? Isko bhi board ko dhamkana chahiye. Has Hardik Pandya descended from the moon? He has to play, too. Why are there different rules for him? The BCCI should threaten him.”
Hardik Pandaya has been out of the international setup ever since the pacer suffered an injury against Bangladesh in the World Cup. He recently played in a domestic tournament before the IPL.
Speaking of the same, Praveen Kumar said, “Why would you play just the domestic T20 tournament? Play all three formats. Or have you played so many 60-70 Test matches that you will just play T20? The country needs you. If you don’t want to play Test cricket, give it in writing.”

Kumar further added, “Maybe Pandya has been informed that he would not be picked for tests.” I don’t have any clear information.”
Hardik Pandaya is all set to lead the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL season. The Mumbai Indians will begin their campaign against the Gujarat Titans in Ahemdabad.
