2024 IPL Auction: How Many Capped, Uncapped, Indian, Overseas, And Players With INR 2 Crore Base Price Register For The Event?

The auction for the IPL 2024 will held on December 19 in Dubai. It is the first time an auction for this grand event will happen outside India. All the franchises have already submitted the list of their retained and released players.

According to the latest report, players from all around the corner have submitted their names to grab attention and get some recognition from this cash-rich league.

It is being said that about 25 players with a base price of INR 2 Crore have registered their names for the mini-auction. Among these, seven players belong to the Australian squad which won the ODI World Cup this year in India. The players are Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Steven Smith, Josh Inglis and Sean Abbott.

Some Indian names who are among the 2 Crore base price are Harshal Patel, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, and Kedar Jadhav. Some English players like David Willey, Adil Rashid, Harry Brook, and Tom Banton are also there among the INR 2 crore base price list.

The ten franchises participating in the IPL auction have a collective task of filling 77 slots in their squads, with the provision that 30 of these slots can be occupied by overseas players.

The IPL provided franchises with a comprehensive list of 1166 players who registered for the auction on Friday. The final pool however will be significantly reduced as teams submit the names of players they are keen on. The extensive list encompasses 45 players from Associate nations, 909 uncapped players, of which 812 are Indian, and 18 capped Indian players.
