2023 ODI World Cup: ‘They Activate The Monster Mode When They Bat First’, Aakash Chopra Praised This Team For Their Cracking Batting Lineup

The former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has praised South Africa for their exceptional batting performance while batting first and setting the exceptional targets for the opponents in 2023 ODI World Cup.

On Tuesday, October 24, in Mumbai, the Proteas chose to bat first and set a target of 383 runs against Bangladesh. They successfully bowled out Shakib Al Hasan’s team for 233 runs, securing a commanding 149-run victory and advancing to the second position in the points table.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Chopra analysed the game and highlighted that South Africa displayed an aggressive approach when they batted first.

Aakash Chopra said,”This is a team. They activate the monster mode when they bat first. They got stuck once. That was in the run chase against the Netherlands but this team is different while batting first.”

Aakash Chopra also praised Quinton de Cock for his fluent batting even after the dismissal of two batters.

The commentator said,”Bangladesh made a good start, they picked two wickets in the powerplay. It seemed like they would change the game but how will they do that because Quinton de Kock has decided and come that it is his last World Cup and every time it should be said – ‘Abhi na jao chhod kar ki dil abhi bhara nahin’ (Please don’t leave now, it seems to early).”
