2023 ODI World Cup: Sourav Ganguly Slams Pakistan Cricket Team After Loss To Rohit Sharma And Co. By 7 Wickets

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly thinks that Pakistan will find it difficult to make a comeback in the 2023 World Cup after a huge defeat by the Indian team in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14.

Although Pakistan had a solid foundation at 155/2, their batting lineup crumbled dramatically, leading to their dismissal for a mere 191 runs. Ganguly expressed his surprise at the apparent absence of composure in their batting, and he believes that the Pakistan team of the past was far more competitive than the present one.

While talking to Times Now, Sourav Ganguly said,”During our time Pakistan was a different team, this is not the type of Pakistan team we used to play. This team can’t handle the pressure during the batting. It will be hard for Pakistan to come back in this World Cup with this batting.”

In the match against Pakistan, Rohit Sharma played a sensational knock of 86 runs in 63 balls and won the game for India in a convincing way.

“Rohit played superbly against Pakistan. India’s every department is doing well. Batting, bowling and fielding is firing together and at the right time.”

The significant victory over Pakistan has not only given India a boost but has also improved their net run rate. As a result, they currently lead the table with a perfect record of three wins from three games. Their upcoming match is against Bangladesh in Pune on Thursday, October 19.
