2023 ODI World Cup: List Of Worlds Records Made And Broken In The Match Between South Africa And Sri Lanka

South Africa has also got an unbeatable lead for scoring the most four hundred-plus innings total in the history of the ODI World Cup. It was the third time that South Africa scored more than 400+ runs in ODI World Cup history.

South Africa also holds the record for scoring the most number of 400+ totals in the history of ODI cricket. The Proteas have scored this eight times while India has got this six times.

It is also the highest team total against Sri Lanka in 50-over cricket. Before it, the record belonged to India which was 414/7 at Rajkot in 2009.

The Sri Lankan fast bowler, Matheesha Pathirana conceded 95 runs against South Africa in this match in his quota of 10 overs. Now he holds the record of the most expensive bowler in the history of the ODI World Cup for Sri Lanka.
