2023 ODI World Cup: Big Blow For Team India, Hardik Pandya Leaves For Hospital After Injury

During India’s fourth match in the ICC ODI World Cup against Bangladesh in Pune, there was a horrible moment of concern when Hardik Pandya had to leave the field due to an injury to his left ankle.

While bowling his first over, which happened to be the ninth over of the innings, Pandya seemed to have twisted his ankle during his follow-through. Subsequently, it was later announced on the broadcast that he would not be able to continue playing for the rest of the innings.

The physio quickly rushed onto the field to provide immediate attention to Pandya’s ankle and spent several minutes working on it.

Besides Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, it could be argued that Pandya is one of the most dependable players in the Indian squad due to his all-round abilities. Pandya can play in the team as specialist batter but he providea bowling facilities as well, which makes him the most entertaining and valuable player.

In this 2023 ODI World, Pandya has bowled 16 overs and has grabbed five wickets to his name.

It would be interesting to see how things go for Pandya. The team will look for him to make a comeback and no official confirmation has been made yet regarding his fitness.
