Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has predicted his playing XI for the match against Bangladesh. The match between India and Bangladesh will be played in Pune.
Aakash Chopra has said that the veteran Indian off spinner Aakash Chopra will not be seen in the playing XI against Bangladesh. Ashwin was the part of the team in the match against Australia on October 8 in Chennai, but in the match against Afganistan and Pakistan, Shardul Thakur was given preference in the playing XI.
Aakash Chopra shared a video on his officially Youtube Channel, and said that there won’t be any change in the playing XI.
“Will India make a change? I don’t think they will make a change because according to me there is no chance at all to play an extra spinner here. Why would you play Ravichandran Ashwin here?”
The former spinner said that Ashwin will not be added into the playing XI as an extra spinner.
“The spinners don’t work here in the IPL and this is a World Cup match. Why would you play another spinner against a subcontinental team? So there won’t be any change in my opinion.”
Aakash Chopra also said that Mohammed Shami won’t come to the playing XI as long as Shardul Thakur is there in the team.
