Yuzvendra Chahal Reveals His Surprise Pick For The Orange Cap in IPL 2024

The world’s biggest Twenty20 league is going to start in less than a month’s time. The buzz for the biggest T-20 carnival has already started to create buzz for quite some time.

The IPL is going to start on March 22, with Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on defending champions Chennai Super Kings in Chennai.

However, ahead of the IPL season, one of the best spinners and leading wicket takers in IPL history, Yuzvendra Chahal, has made a bold prediction for the winner of the Orange Cap for the upcoming season of the IPL.

Yuzvendra Chahal has backed his teammates Yashasvi Jaiswal or Jos Buttler to win the orange cap, scoring the most runs in the upcoming IPL season.

Chahal was also asked about leading wicket taker. Answering that question, the veteran spinner picked himself and Rashid Khan as contenders to win the purple cap for the upcoming IPL season.
On the other hand, Yuzvendra Chahal was recently excluded from the Central contract list.

Speaking of the same former Indian opener, Aakash Chopra said,I am a bit surprised that Yuzi Chahal’s name is not there. Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, and Shikhar Dhawan—their names not being there, I can understand. Even Deepak Hooda, for that matter. But Chahal’s name not being there—what does that signify? It seems to indicate that they (BCCI) are looking in a different direction. This is a validation of the theory. He might have had a ray of hope, but it wasn’t to be. His name is not there.”

Yuzvendra Chahal has been a consistent performer for the Rajasthan Royals, with the ball emerging as the highest wicket taker for his franchise in the past two seasons.
