Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh and some other cricket experts have shown his disappointment over the snubbing of the star Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. The Asia Cup 2023 squad was picked yesterday under the guidance of chief selector Ajit Agarkar and skipper Rohit Sharma for the tournament set to begin on August 30.
For the Asia Cup 2023, players like KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have been called out from the team due to their respective injuries. The young Indian batter Tilak Varma who impressed everyone in the recently concluded T20I series has got a chance to play in the Asia Cup as well.
After the squad announcement, Chahal has posted a cryptic message on his official Twitter. Chahal came with a couple of messages. The first emoji appeared as the sun getting behind the clouds and the second was a complete sun without any clouds.
In IPL 2023, Chahal performed brilliantly and got 21 wickets in 14 innings. With 187 wickets he also became the highest wicket taker in the history of IPL. Despite giving such performances he has been left out of the team.
