Yuvraj Singh drops an emotional message for his father on father’s day

On Father’s Day, former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh shared a touching message on Instagram to show his appreciation for his dad, Yograj Singh.

He wrote, Happy Father’s Day baapu! The one who taught me that the only finish line worth crossing is the one you reach by never giving up! Lots of love, tagging his dad’s account @yograjofficial. Yograj Singh, also a cricketer, is known for his strict discipline and strong determination, which clearly influenced Yuvraj’s own tenacity both in cricket and life.

Yuvraj played for India from 2000 to 2017, taking part in 402 international matches and scoring 11,178 runs with an average of 35.05, including 17 centuries and 71 fifties. He was part of the Indian team that clinched the ICC Champions Trophy in 2002 (joint-winners with Sri Lanka), the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007, and the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011.

He also made history as the first Indian to hit six sixes in an over during the 2007 T20 World Cup against England. His peak was being named ‘Player of the Tournament’ at the 2011 World Cup, where he scored 362 runs in nine matches, including a century and four fifties, while also taking 15 wickets.
