This heart-wrenching incident sheds light on the emotional investment, and the profound impact cricket has on fans.

The distressing incident unfolded at 11 pm on Sunday near the Cinema Hall in the Beliatore police station area, just moments after the World Cup final’s conclusion at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Rahul Lohar, a 23-year-old who worked at a local clothing store, took a leave on Sunday to immerse himself in the nail-biting final between India and Australia.

An investigation is underway, and the police have registered the case as an unnatural death. The reasons for Rahul Lohar’s tragic demise are yet to be officially disclosed.
