“You have to be a devil…” Hardik Pandya’s Blistering Remark On MS Dhoni’s Haters

On Tuesday, the first qualifier will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at MA Chidambaram Stadium, i.e., Chepauk. Before the match, Titans shared a video of Pandya on social media.

Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya said that one has to be a devil to hate Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He is like a brother to me. Pandya also dismissed the notion that one of India’s most successful captains, MS Dhoni, is a serious person. Regarding the league round of IPL 2023, Gujarat won a maximum of 10 matches.

In the video, Hardik Pandya said, “For me, he’s just my dear brother, a dear friend who I do pranks with, who I chill out with. I will always be a Mahendra Singh Dhoni fan. You need to be a proper devil to hate him,” Pandya said.

The change Dhoni has made in the team compared to the previous season has once again brought the Chennai Super Kings into the limelight. After finishing 9th last season, this time, the team has made it to the playoffs and is also considered a contender to win the 5th title.

Devon Conway, Rituraj Gaikwad, and Shivam Dube have performed brilliantly for CSK in the current season. Pandya said that he had learned many nuances of cricket from Dhoni.

Hardik said that many people think that Dhoni is serious. I have learned a lot of things from him, a lot of positive things that I have learned just by watching him. Even not talking much.

“A lot of people think Mahi is serious and all that. I crack jokes, and I don’t see him as a Mahendra Singh Dhoni. I have learned a lot of things from him, a lot of positive things not just while watching him, not even much talking,” Pandya said.

Pandya said that Hardik Pandya, one of the country’s top all-rounders, said that MS Dhoni is like a brother to him, with whom he can have fun. Posting a message, Gujarat Titans termed Dhoni as a captain, leader, legend, and spirit.

It is known that 3 matches have been played between CSK and Gujarat in IPL, and Titans have won all of them. Hardik Pandya would aim to retain the IPL title the team won last year by defeating Rajasthan Royals.
