‘You Fight With Ever Cricketer And You Used The F-Word To Me’, Sreesanth And Gautam Gambhir Verbal Spat Takes New Twist

In the eliminator game of the Legends League Cricket played between Gujarat Giants and Indian Capitals, the former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir and pacer S Sreesanth were involved in a verbal spat. The incident happened in the sixth over of the game as it came after Gambhir scored three boundaries in the first two overs by the pacer.

In a significant development, the fast bowler has offered comments on a photograph shared by Gambhir earlier today, Thursday, 7 December. The picture captures the fast bowler wearing the Indian jersey with a smile on his face.

In the Instagram post with the caption ‘Smile when the world is all about attention!’, Sreesanth took to the comment section and accused Gambhir of going beyond the boundaries of a sportsman.

Talking ahead, Sreesanth called out Gambhir for getting involved in conflicts with various other cricketers. He questioned whether Gambhir considered himself above the Supreme Court to label him a ‘fixer.’ The Kerala-born cricketer criticized Gambhir, labeling him as ‘arrogant and utterly classless’ for using offensive language, including the use of the f-word.

As we know, Sreesanth faced a life ban from the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) due to his involvement in the spot-fixing scandal during the IPL 2013. In 2019, the Supreme Court intervened and reduced the ban to seven years. After the upliftment of the ban, the cricketer then made his comeback for Kerala, playing some domestic matches.
