“You can’t…”Australian great Gives a massive statement regarding Mayank Yadav’s world cup birth

Lucknow’s Mayank Yadav has been the talk of the town ever since he made his debut in the IPL. The youngster has already impressed everyone with his pace and accuracy, and so far he has won two man of the match awards in his debut season.

Mayank Yadav has been earning praise from the greats of the game for his pace and accuracy. Recently, Tom Moddy, a former Australian cricketer, was also all praise for Mayank Yadav.

Moddy, however, went on to say that the selection committee, which is led by Ajit Agarkar, should not take an impulsive decision to include Mayank Yadav in India’s squad. He believes that Mayank will be ready for international cricket and the World Cup by 2026.

In his interaction with ESPNCRICINFO, Tom Moody said, “I’ve loved what I saw for the first couple of games; it was quite extraordinary to the point where you want to see the replays of that game. But you cannot have a knee-jerk reaction and pick him in the World Cup when he has only played two games and got injured.”

Moddy further added, “You don’t really know what he’s capable of doing over a long period of time, under pressure, and in different roles. Yes, he’s an absolute lock for the future, and look after the asset. For me, it’s the 2026 World Cup you should be looking at with him.”
