Former Indian captain and now the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has been slammed for his tweet which he posted for Indian Women’s Cricket Team.
In the Commonwealth Games 2022, the Indian women’s cricket team reached the final. But, the luck did not favour the team and they lost the gold medal match against the Australian Women’s cricket team by 9 runs. However team India grabbed the Silver medal and for the same reason former Indian captain Ganguly tweeted.
While tweeting Ganguly expressed that he is happy for India winning the silver medal, but at the same time he was disappointed as they lost the gold even after they were very near to the crossing line.
Ganguli had tweeted,”Congratulations to the Indian women’s team for winning silver ..But they will go home disappointed as it was their game tonight [email protected]”
However this tweet from the BCCI president did not come in his favour and he got some burns and trolls from the India fans. Some called him “Biggest Disappointment”, some other fans called this tweet ironic.
In the final match, while batting first Australia scored 161 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. India was going to a great chase but eventually they collapsed and lost this match by 9 runs.
