Yashasvi Jaiswal to be available for Mumbai’s next Ranji match

After his impressive tour to Australia, India’s dramatic young batsman, ‘Yashasvi Jaiswal’, is now said to have been called for duty by the domestic cricketer-turned-young state side for his part and has made himself available to attend the upcoming Ranji fixture of Mumbai against Jammu and Kashmir on 23rd January. The young batsman has told the coach of Mumbai, Omkar Salvi, that he is fit for the next round of Ranji Trophy. The selection committee would select the Mumbai Team in the coming days.

” He informed the coach of the Mumbai squad, Omkar Salvi, that he was available for the next round of the Ranji Trophy. The selection committee will select the Mumbai team in the coming days, ” MCA’s official told this to the Indian Express report.

The BCCI rule clearly mentioned that those on the central contract had to be part of the domestic cricket game when not on national duty. The impending domestic games will be nice practice for the international stars getting involved in a Champions Trophy de 2025.

India will have played a lot of test cricket but not too much of white-ball, one-day or T20 cricket, which they will really need to play in the coming days before the big tournament. India’s tour to the United Arab Emirates is scheduled after the twentiy and ODI series to take place at home against England later.

Jasiwal’s comeback would be very interesting, and the Indian captain may feature in the domestic game. He was seen practicing at the Wankhede Stadium, but he did not confirm his availability yet.

Mumbai’s batting lineup for the upcoming Ranji Trophy game could boast many top numbers, but it is most likely that Sarfaraz Khan will miss the game due to a fracture of a rib.

“He has injured one of his ribs, and he has informed us that he won’t be playing the next Ranji Trophy game. As he is contracted with the BCCI, the National Cricket Academy will do his medical assessment and inform us,” the MCA official added.

Then they returned from Australia under heavy criticism for a drubbing in the series resulting in the failure to make it to the final of the First World Test Championship in 2023-25. Some senior players are under pressure because of their lack of scoring. However, they have pinned hopes on a first-class game bringing a change to their batting woes.
