This time the teams will be able to fill in at least 15 to as much as 18 players per squad for the next three seasons. After the underwhelming performances of the last two editions, the UP Warriors (UPW) and Gujarat Giants (GG) decided to completely redeploy their players in the forthcoming WPL 2026 auction.
The two teams are the ones with the least number of players retained. The Warriors are keeping only domestic all-rounder Shweta Sehrawat while the Giants are holding on to their Australian stars Ashleigh Gardner and Beth Mooney. However, they will go to the auction with the largest budgets and the most slots to be filled. Conversely, the Mumbai Indians (MI) Women, who are two-time champions, along with the Delhi Capitals (DC) Women, who are three-time runners-up, have decided to keep the most five players and will not have any RTM options in the auction for WPL 2026.
In the auction, the WPL 2024 champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) women, have preserved four players and will have one RTM card at their disposal when entering the bidding hall.
