“Would Cummins have done the same for…” Kaif raises questions on Cummins withdrawing appeal against Jadeja

Mohammad Kaif has questioned Cummins approach to not appealin g for  “obstructing the field “against Ravindra Jadeja. In the match between SRH and CSK, in the second last over of CSK’s innings, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a Yorker delivery, which somewhat dragged the delivery out.

However, Jadeja came out of the crease, after which there was a chance to run out the batter, but Jadeja came in the middle of the throw. But Sunrisers Hyderabad did not appeal.
Kaif believes that this was a tactical move from Cummins. Kaif feels that SRH wanted to keep struggling with Jadeja in the middle in order to keep Dhoni out.

Kaif also raised the question of whether, had Cummins done the same thing, Virat Kohli would have been the batter in the 2024 World Cup.

Kaif took X and wrote, “Two questions to Pat Cummins on withdrawing the obstructing the field appeal against Jadeja. Was it a tactical call to let a struggling Jadeja be the crease and keep Dhoni indoors? Would he have done the same if it were Virat Kohli at the World T20?”

Talking about the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Chennai Super Kings by six wickets. With this victory, the Orange Army has claimed the number-five spot in the points table. SRH has so far won two out of four matches.
