The fever of World Cup has been already started. Yet approx two months to go for the festival, the fans are showing immense excitement for the tournament happening in India.
The tournament will be solely hosted by India, unlike 2011 where Sri Lanka and Bangladesh were the co-hosts. In the first encounter, the two finalists of the 2019 ODI world cup, New Zealand and England will face each other at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahemdabad. On the other hand, the host will play its first match against Australia on October 8 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Now according to a latest report, the tickets for the India and Australia clash has been sold in just in 10 minutes after it was made available online for the fans.
Currently, team India is participating in Asia Cup 2023 where they will face the arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 at Pallekele International Stadium. After that, men in blue will play their next match against Nepal. The team is currently coming from a series win against West Indies and then a T20I series win against Ireland. However, unlike last year, this time Asia Cup is being played in ODI format just to give a good preparation in the Asia Cup.
