According to the latest report, the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match during the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The tournament is set to take place in October-November. The Narendra Modi stadium has a seating capacity of over 100,000 and is the biggest cricket stadium for the World Cup where fans will surely enjoy the mega clash.
Now the Indian Premier League is going on in India and it is believed that the moment the tournament will get over in India, the BCCI will announce the schedule for the World Cup 2023 at a grand event.
According to a report in The Indian Express, India’s league matches during the World Cup 2023 will be played at seven different venues. It is also being said that after the India-Pakistan match, Ahmedabad will also host the final of this tournament.
The report further stated that if all goes according to plan, the World Cup 2023 will commence on October 5. The tentative venues for the tournament include Nagpur, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Trivandrum, Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Rajkot, Indore, Bengaluru, and Dharamshala. Due to security reasons, Pakistan may play most of its matches in Chennai and Bengaluru.
Last time India hosted an ODI World Cup in the year 2011 along with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. That is when Team India lifted the trophy under the captaincy of MS Dhoni at Wankhede Cricket Stadium.
