Women’s T20 World Cup 2023: India In Big Problem, Harmanpreet Kaur Unlikely, And Star Pacer Ruled Out Of The Big Semi-Final clash

Ahead of the T20 World Cup semifinal match against Australia in Cape Town later on Thursday(23 February 2023) night, India is worried about the availability of skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and pacer Pooja Vastrakar.

According to a solid claim by ICC, Vastakar has been ruled out from the semifinal match, while skipper Harmanpreet is still waiting for the final call. Sneh Rana has been picked in the playing XI after the approval of ICC to take Vastrakar’s place. At the T20 World Cup, Rana was a reserve for India.

ICC issued a statement in which it said,”The player has been ruled out due to an upper respiratory tract infection ahead of the crucial contest.”

The statement further said,“The ICC Event Technical Committee has approved a replacement player request from the BCCI.Off-spin bowling all-rounder Sneh Rana, who has featured in 47 internationals including 24 T20Is, will replace Vastrakar and could come into consideration for the cut-throat semi-final on Thursday.”

India’s hopes on Thursday will be hurt badly if Harman is also ruled out, as left-arm spinner Radha Yadav also has fitness issues.
