Will Sunil Narine play in the T 20 world Cup? Here’s what west Indies skipper Rovman Powell said

West Indies skipper Rovman Powell said that he had been requesting Sunil Narine to make a return to the side for the T20 World Cup but said that Narine has been blocking everyone out.
Narine had a phenomenal outing with both bat and ball, as he scored 109 runs with the bat and picked up two wickets with the ball.

However, despite such a performance by Sunil Narine with both bat and ball, KKR could not win the match and lost the match by 2 wickets.

After the previous encounter, Sunil Narine told Samuel Badree that he would be watching the World Cup from home. Sunil Narine retired from international cricket earlier this year.

On the other hand, West Indies skipper Rovman Powell said that he has been constantly talking to Sunil Narine about making a return to the national side and has also requested players like Kieron Pollard and DJ Bravo to help him change Narine’s mind.

Rovman Powell said, “For the last 12-odd months, I have been whispering in his (Narine’s) ears; he’s blocked out everyone (chuckles). I asked Pollard, Bravo, and Pooran; hopefully, before they (the West Indies selectors) select the team, they can crack his code.”

Speaking about the match Rovman Powell smashed Sunil Narine for two sixes and one boundary in the match.

Powell said, “There are emotions all over the place. I didn’t plan to take on Sunil Narine because I knew he was their best bowler. But when it comes down to 80 runs off 30 balls, you have to take your chances. I just backed my strengths, took my chances, and that came off today.”

The Rajasthan Royals will now play against the Mumbai Indians on April 22.
