Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who suffered a severe knee injury in a road accident last year, has received good news regarding his recovery. Pant, who had previously undergone surgery on his right knee, will not require another surgical procedure. The medical team and the doctor supervising his case are pleased with his progress and have decided against further operation. According to a report in The Times of India, Pant has been under constant medical observation, and his recovery has been better than anticipated.
Pant’s recent visit to the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore is a significant step in his rehabilitation process. The BCCI source shared with The Times of India that there was concern regarding the need for another surgery. However, continuous monitoring every 15 days has shown positive results, significantly boosting Pant’s recovery. This suggests that he may return to the field earlier than initially expected. While it remains uncertain if he will be fit for the upcoming World Cup, the positive progress is promising.
The source further revealed that Pant can now walk without crutches. His recovery will mainly rely on his determination, enthusiasm, and dedication to rehabilitation. The next phase for him involves starting training sessions. Earlier this month, Pant took to social media, posting a video of himself without crutches and captioning it as “Happy no more crutches day.”

The unfortunate car accident occurred on December 30th last year when Pant traveled from Delhi to Roorkee in Uttarakhand. The accident resulted in injuries to his knee, waist, and wrist. Fortunately, Pant survived the incident, although the car caught fire shortly after the crash.
The cricketing community and fans will eagerly anticipate Rishabh Pant’s return to the field. As he continues his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy, the hope is that his recovery progresses smoothly, allowing him to regain his fitness and contribute to the Indian cricket team again.
