India is going to face England in the second game of the five-match Test series at Visakhapatnam on February 02, 2024. Team India is already trailing in this series by 1-0 after a defeat in the first game by 18 runs in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, according to a fresh report, star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will still take some time to recover and he is likely to miss the second Test as well, which will be played in Rajkot at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
According to insiders, it would be great if he recovers in time for the fourth Test in Ranchi scheduled from February 23 to 27. This makes it highly likely that he will miss the third Test in his hometown of Rajkot.
However, there are high chances that wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul will be fit within time and he will join the squad for the third Test starting on February 15.
Rahul reported pain in his right quadriceps, connected to the thigh surgery he underwent in 2022. The BCCI is taking precautions seeing his crucial role as one of the key batsmen in the team. Like Jadeja, he is presently associated with the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
