However, the former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has recently dispelled the rumors about Dhoni’s retirement. Speaking as part of JioCinema’s experts’ panel, Raina stated that the 2011 World Cup-winning captain has no plans to retire from cricket this season.
Suresh Raina’s statement came after he had a conversation with MS Dhoni where the former CSK player revealed Dhoni’s desire to win the IPL trophy once again before retiring from the sport. Let us tell you that Dhoni already has won four IPL titles under his captaincy and this year as well the team is performing brilliantly. They are sitting in the second spot with 13 points.
“Main trophy jeetke ek saal aur khelunga (After winning the trophy, I will play one more year),” Raina said on JioCinema.
Dhoni has been the captain of Chennai Super Kings since the inception of IPL in 2008. In 2010, CSK won the first trophy under his belt. He also captained Rising Pune Super Giants when CSK was banned from playing in the IPL for two editions.
