Asia cup is not too far away from the start, and the meg clash between India and Pakistan is all set to take place on 28th of August. Both teams got major setbacks ahead of this mega clash. Indian team will miss the services of their head coach Rahul Dravid due to covid whereas their arch rivals Pakistan will start their tourney without their premium pace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi who will miss this tournament due to injury.
Fans across both the countries are eagerly waiting for this mega clash. The last time these two teams had faced each other was in T20 World Cup 2021, and Pakistan had defeated India by 10 wickets. Number 3 Spot: Virat Kohli
India’s star batter is all set play at his favourite spot, and before the World Cup Indian team management would like to clarify the roles of each player in this tournament. King Kohli will be eager to make his presence count in this all important encounter.
Middle Order: Surya Kumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya
These three batters will be used as floater in the middle order. To provide left-right combination in the middle overs Pant should bat at number 4 position, but if the situation demanded then Pandya or Surya Kumar can also play at this position.
Lower Middle Order: Dinesh Karthik and Ravindra Jadeja
With the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel, Indian team is all set to field a batting heavy team in this Asia Cup thus Hardik Pandya will be used as third seamer in this tournament and both Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant will feature in India’s starting 11. Dinesh Karthik will be supported by Ravindra Jadeja in slog overs.
Spinners: Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja
If there will be no injury concern then Yuzvendra Chahal is all set to lead the spin attack of Indian team and he will be well supported by star all rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
Pacer: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya
In absence of their premium pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah, young rising pacer Arshdeep Singh is all set to feature in India’s starting 11 for this mega clash. This tournament will be golden opportunity for Arshdeep Singh to book his ticket of Australia. Swing king Bhuvneshwar Kumar is all set to lead the pace attack and if India decided to field a batting heavy side then Avesh Khan is all set miss out whereas all rounder Hardik Pandya will be used as third seamer.
