It was reported about 2 weeks back that some IPL franchises have requested the BCCI to change the auction date of the mini auction which is already slated to happen on December 23 in Kochi.
Cricinformer is back with breaking news according to which the BCCI has refused to change the date for the mini auction. According to a report, the board has some logistical issues and this is the reason they don’t want to shift the date.
The BCCI official said,“We understand some officials of some of the franchises will be on Christmas Holidays. But we are unlikely to change the date. Huge amount of logistics are involved in Auction planning. Changing the date would mean REDRAWING everything.”
As per the knowledge of Cricinfomer many staff members of franchises will be celebrating Christmas with their family and it will be difficult for them to be there during the auction.
The interesting fact is seven out of 10 IPL teams have foreigners as their coach which includes teams like Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians and some others franchises.
