However, the absence of Rishabh Pant from the playing XI was a matter of discussion among the cricket fans and former cricketers as well. Rohit Sharma came for the toss and revealed the selection of Dinesh Karthik over Rishabh Pant.
The exclusion of Pant is still a fresh topic among journalists and currently when a reporter asked Ravindra Jadeja why Pant was not there in the playing XI then the star Indian all-rounder came with an interesting reply.
Jadeja said,'”I absolutely don’t know this. This is a question out of my book.”
The last time India and Hong Kong clashed with each other was during the 2018 Asia Cup in which India managed to get a 26-run victory. In that match, India posted 285/7 on the scoreboard to which Hong Kong came with a super strong reply where openers Nizakat Khan and captain Anshuman Rath shared a 174 runs partnership for the opening wicket.
However, then Yuzvendra Chahal and Khaleel Ahmed came with their fiery spell and won the game for India.
