Why Do You Always Score Hundred Against Mumbai Indians? Sunil Gavaskar’s Abrupt Question To Yashasvi Jaiswal Made Him Uneasy

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an impressive century against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2024. This win marks Rajasthan’s seventh victory, and they only require one more win out of six matches to secure a spot in the playoffs. Jaiswal has now scored two centuries in the league, both against Mumbai Indians.

After the game, he had a conversation with Sunil Gavaskar, during which the legendary cricketer asked an unusual question that made the young batsman feel uneasy.

Widely known as Little Master, Sunil Gavaskar asked, “You have scored two IPL hundreds against Mumbai Indians. You come from Mumbai. Why don’t you score hundreds against other teams?”

After hearing this question, Yashasvi Jaiswal did not come up with anything and he chose to remain silent.

However, for his century, Jaiswal said, “I was watching the ball and played my shots. I am trying to keep doing what I do. I don’t have anything in mind. I want to thank all my seniors for guiding me. Sanga sir and Sanju Bhai gave me opportunities.”

In the match against Mumbai Indians, Yashasvi smashed an unbeaten 104 runs from 60 balls which includes 9 fours and 7 sixes. His outstanding performance led Rajasthan to a 9-wicket victory while chasing a target of 180.

Mumbai Indians posted a total of 180 runs at the loss of nine wickets. For the team, Tilak Varma scored the highest 65 runs off just 45 balls. Apart from him, the young batter Nehal Wadhera also contributed with 49 runs to take his team to a respectable total.

Yashasvi Jaiswal(104) and Sanju Samson(38) remain unbeaten for Rajasthan Royals with a good contribution from wicket-keeper Jos Buttler who got 35 runs off 25 balls.
