Mayers acknowledged Kohli’s prowess and aggressive on-field demeanor, stating that any bowler would aspire to dismiss him, considering his status as the best player in all three formats.
Kyle Mayers said, “I think Kohli (wicket would be more precious than Rohit’s). Any bowler would want to dismiss Kohli, the best player across all three formats.”

In the first T20I of the series, Mayers missed out with the bat as Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed him. However, he made a crucial impact in the field with a brilliant direct hit that resulted in the dismissal of Sanju Samson. Despite the loss in the first T20I, the West Indies team will be looking to carry the momentum into the second T20I, scheduled for Sunday, August 6.
