Who is Vivrant Sharma, and Why Sunrisers Hyderabad Picked Him At 2.60 Cr In IPL Auction 2023

The auction of the Indian Premier League 2023 is ended, and this mini-auction broke all the previous records of the IPL auction. English all-rounder Sam Curran became the most expensive player in IPL history; Punjab Kings picked him at 18.50 Cr.

Australian young all-rounder Cameroon Green became the second highest expensive player in the IPL history, and Mumbai Indians picked him at 17.50 Cr. The capped players have gotten the most of the amount in the IPL auction, but some uncapped shocked everyone due to the high bidding price. Bengal’s speedster, Mukesh Kumar, was picked by Delhi Capital at 5.50 Cr; however, another uncapped player, Vivrant Sharma, was picked by SRH at 2.60 Cr.

This Vivrant shocked everyone because no one had heard about him before and why he was picked at this high rate even though he is an uncapped player.

Vivrant Sharma is the opener batter who recently played blistering performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy.

He has played splendid innings of 154* runs off 124 balls with the help of 18 fours and 6 sixes and helped his team to win the clash by nine wickets. His impressive number catches the eye of the IPL franchises, and that’s why he gets that high amount in the auction. In the nine domestic matches, he has scored 191 runs with a worthy average of 128.18, and he also grabbed 6 wickets to his bag in three innings he had bowled, and his best figure is 4/13.

Now it will be interesting to see how the young opener all-rounder will perform in front of international players and how he manages to make his announcement in the Indian Premier League 2023. This is the best stage for him to show his class and efficiency; if he can do so, then the International blue cap is close to him.
