“When you get three low…”Sunil Gavaskar’s massive take on King Kohli’s form in the World Cup

Former Indian skipper and opener Sunil Gavaskar has shared his point of view regarding Virat Kohli’s form. Virat Kohli has been going through a bad patch, as the veteran has registered single-digit scores of 0, 4, and 1 in his last three matches. Virat Kohli came into the World Cup in sublime form as the batter scored over 700 runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 17th IPL season.

However, Gavaskar feels that there is nothing to panic about as far as Virat’s form is concerned. Gavaskar said that Kohli needs to spend some time on the wicket.

Sunil Gavaskar said, “The biggest motivation for any player is to win matches, especially when you are playing for your country. He has done so well for India over the years and won so many games. I think he recognizes that. We are in the early phases of the tournament. There’s the Super Bowl, the semi-finals, and hopefully the final. All he needs to do is show patience and faith in himself, of which I think he has plenty.”

With Team India already processed into the next round of the tournament, Sunil Gavaskar feels that Virat Kohli will get ample amount of time to regain his form.

Sunil Gavaskar said, “When you get three low scores, it doesn’t mean he is not batting well. Sometimes you get good deliveries. Any other day, the ball would’ve gone wide or over the slip for a boundary; today it didn’t. So, there’s nothing to worry about. We have to show faith in him. Much believe that he is going to come good sooner rather than later.”
