The 13th edition of the ODI World Cup will be hosted by team India in this upcoming month of October-November. Before it there was a huge discussion regarding the Pakistani team’s arrival for the marquee event. The Pakistani government and the Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) have given permission to fly for India and now a huge statement is coming for the men in green by the Indian External Affairs Ministry.
On Friday, the Indian government stated that the Pakistan cricket team would receive the same treatment as any other country participating in the ICC ODI World Cup.
The statement came from the spokesperson of India’s Ministry of External Affairs after Pakistan’s decision to allow their cricket team’s participation in the tournament which is to take place in India in October.
In a statement released by the Indian External Affairs ministry, the spokesperson said, “On Pakistan cricket team’s security concern for travel to India: Pakistan’s cricket team will be treated just like any other country participating in the World Cup.”
The World Cup is set to take place in India during the months of October and November. The much-anticipated cricket encounter between Pakistan and India is scheduled for October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Gujarat.
The Indian spokesperson hoped that “it is a good match and not a war. Pakistan has consistently maintained that sports should not be mixed with politics. It has, therefore, decided to send its Cricket Team to India to participate in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.”

“Pakistan believes that the state of bilateral relations with India should not stand in the way of fulfilling its international sports-related obligations,” the Foreign Office had added.
“Pakistan’s decision shows its constructive and responsible approach vis-a-vis India’s intransigent attitude, as the latter had refused to send its cricket team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup,” it further said.
