Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni enjoys a great fan following not only among the neutrals but also among former cricketers. The latest to interact with the Chennai Super Kings skipper is the former Indian batter and of the best fielders Mohammed Kaif. Kaif met Dhoni at the airport when the former Indian captain was returning from Mumbai after his successful knee surgery.
Kaif shared a family pic of him and Dhoni along with their respective families. Dhoni can be seen with his wife Sakshi Dhoni and daughter Ziva. He shared this pic on his official Twitter handle and wrote a beautiful and heartwarming caption.
Kaif wrote, “We met the great man and his family at the airport today. He was returning home after surgery. Son Kabir is super happy as Dhoni told him he too, like him, played football as a kid. Get well soon, see you next season champion.”
After the conclusion of IPL 2023, Dhoni successfully underwent knee surgery. With this fans are speculating that Dhoni can play one more season for the team in yellow. This year under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings lifted its fifth title. The team went on to beat Gujarat Titans in the final by five wickets, thanks to the heroic performance by Ravindra Jadeja.

The news of Dhoni’s surgery was also confirmed by the CEO of Chennai Super Kings Kashi Vishwanathan. He confirmed it to PTI and said, “Yes, Dhoni has had a successful knee surgery at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday. He is doing fine and the surgery happened in the morning. I don’t have the details. I am yet to get all the details about the nature of the surgery and other things.”
