Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the men’s Asia Cup starting on 27th August. The highlight of the tournament is the high-voltage match between India and Pakistan where the two teams will lock their horns on 28th August at Dubai International Stadium.
Last year during the T20 World Cup 2021, Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets and since then team India has gone through a major change, which is the change in the captaincy.
However, Rohit Sharma has managed the team smartly, also thanks to the BCCI’s regular captaincy changes which has helped players to shape in a different way. But the biggest concern for fans and team India is still the same, which is the declining form of Virat Kohli.
Now the former Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi has given a strong statement on Virat Kohli. During a Question-Answer session on Twitter, a fan asked – “What about Virat’s future.”
While replying to this answer Afridi wrote, “It’s in his own hands.”
Let us tell you that after IPL 2022, Kohli is either taking a rest or is struggling in getting runs. At first, he was rested for the home series against South Africa, and then he went to England, where his form was not up to the mark. The resting streak continued during West Indies and Zimbabwe tours as well. Now the former captain will be seen playing for the team during the Asia Cup battle.
Till now in 2022, Virat Kohli has scored only one 50+ score which came during the IPL playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
