“We don’t meet…”Ms Dhoni gives a massive statement regarding his relationship with Virat Kohli

Former Indian World Cup-winning captain MS Dhoni discussed his relationship with star Indian batsman Virat Kohli, with whom he shared many memorable moments and partnerships throughout his successful career. Dhoni spoke at an event in Hyderabad. When talking about his relationship with Virat, Dhoni mentioned that whenever they meet, they ensure to have a conversation. “We have been teammates who played for India for a long time. He (Kohli) has been one of the best in world cricket. And the fact that I could bat with him during the middle overs was enjoyable because we used to take a lot of twos and threes in the game, so it has always been fun. We don’t meet very often, but whenever we get a chance, we make sure to go aside and chat for a while, discussing what’s happening. That’s our relationship,” said Dhoni.

Recently, Virat was part of the ICC T20 World Cup-winning team, defeating South Africa.

The 35-year-old player scored a winning 76 in his last T20 international match for India.

Virat is now playing in the ODI series on his trip to Sri Lanka. The three-match series began on Friday.

Dhoni played in the 2024 season of the league following a successful knee surgery. However, he sometimes had difficulty and was seen limping on the field. Despite these occasional challenges, he remained determined to entertain the fans. Coming in later in the batting order with few balls remaining, Dhoni scored 161 runs in 11 innings with an average of 53.66 and a strike rate of 220.54. His highest score was 37 not out, and he hit a total of 14 fours and 13 sixes during the season.

Unfortunately, CSK didn’t make it to the playoffs because they missed the qualification by losing to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). They ended up in fifth place with 14 points, having won seven games and lost seven games as well.
