Kolkata Knight Riders beat Chennai Super Kings by six wickets, in the 61st match of Indian Premier League 2023. The match was played at MA Chidambaram stadium and with this defeat, CSK will look to have a must-win against Delhi Capitals. However, the most epic moment of the match came out of the 22-yard pitch where the former Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar was seen taking the autograph of MS Dhoni on his shirt.
The renowned Sunil Gavaskar hurtled to meet MS Dhoni after the Chennai Super Kings‘ last home game of the IPL 2023 season at MA Chidambaram Stadium. During the encounter, Gavaskar interrupted Dhoni and requested an autograph from the team captain.
In response to Sunil Gavaskar’s request for an autograph, MS Dhoni showed a kind gesture and signed Gavaskar’s shirt while the audience at MA Chidambaram Stadium applauded the two iconic figures.
Gavaskar proudly displayed Dhoni’s autograph as he resumed his post-match responsibilities with the IPL’s TV broadcaster. During the meeting with MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain was seen wearing a kneecap while revolving around the audience.
According to Gavaskar, he was ready with a pen when he got to know that MS Dhoni and the Chennai Super Kings will be doing a lap of honor for the Chepauk crowd as it was the last game for Dhoni and the team at MA Chidambaram.
