The 20th Match Of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is being played between England and Ireland at Melbourne Cricket ground.
Batting first, the England team bundled out Ireland for 157 runs. For England, speedster Mark Wood and spinner Liam Livingstone grabbed 3-3 wickets each. One of the highlights of the game was a lethal delivery by Livingstone where he clean bowled Ireland’s spin all-rounder George Dockrell.
The incident happened in the 16th over when Ireland looked in a settled stage. The Irish team was standing at 132/3 when Livingstone got the captain Andrew Balbirnie on the third ball of the over. On the very next ball, Livingstone dropped another piece of disciplined delivery which was almost a Yorker.
The yorker bemused Dockrell and shattered his stumps. After Ireland’s departure to the pavilion Livingstone’s bowling figure read as 3-0-17-3.
