In the third and final ODI between India and Australia happening in Chennai, Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first the Aussies bundled out 269 runs in 49 overs.
In this match, Indian Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav bowled brilliantly and got three wickets which include David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, and Alex Carey. However, during this time, Kuldeep Yadav did something that led Captain Rohit Sharma to use an inappropriate word for the spinner.
Kuldeep Yadav bowled the first ball of the 39th over and got Alex Carey bowled, showing him the way to the pavilion. After his dismissal, Australian all-rounder Ashton Agar came to the crease but he couldn’t score off the next four deliveries. Then, on the final ball of the over Kuldeep Yadav bowled a googly that hit Ashton’s pad and an appeal was made but the umpire denied it. After this, Kuldeep Yadav forced Rohit Sharma to take a DRS for the appeal.
Even after DRS, it was clear from the footage that the ball was outside the impact zone. India lost the review and after that Rohit Sharma was caught using abusive language on camera.
