Watch Video: Rohit Sharma Impressed By 11 Year Old Kid In The World Cup Nets

The Team India under Rohit Sharma is working on getting ready for the T20 World Cup, which started on Sunday. The Men in Blue will, however, begin their season a week later after playing in two exhibition games. India’s first warmup match is against Australia on Monday, and then two days later, they play another warmup game against New Zealand.

The India captain has not only been working hard in the nets but has also been interacting with the Australian supporters, including an 11-year-old boy. The young man, whose name was Drushil Chauhan, was given access to the Indian dressing room by Rohit and given the chance to bowl at the legendary batter in the nets.
In a video that the BCCI released, team analyst Hari Prasad Mohan can be heard explaining how Rohit was able to pick out the talented child among 100 kids.

Check out the video here:

Mohan said in the video, “We arrived at the WACA for our afternoon practice session and kids were wrapping up their morning event. So as soon as we entered the dressing room, we were able to see 100 odd kids playing and enjoying cricket. There was one kid, who caught everyone’s eyes and Rohit was the first one to identify the kid. And after watching 2-3 balls the kid bowled, everyone was amazed by his smooth run-up and how naturally talented he was. He was constantly beating the bat and Rohit immediately went out of the dressing room and called the kid and asked him to bowl a few more balls.”
Rohit Sharma talked to the young kid Drushil. He asked, “You stay in Perth; how are you going to play for India?”
Drushil replied, “I am going to go to India when I’ll be good enough.”
