Kolkata Knight Riders ended their season with a loss against Lucknow Super Giants by one run. This 68th match of IPL was played at Eden Gardens Kolkata and with this win, LSG has officially qualified for the playoffs as they have 17 points with them now.In this match, the left-handed batter Rinku Singh once again shined with his bat and scored 67 runs in just 33 balls. This includes six fours and four sixes.The main highlight of Rinku Singh’s innings was that towering 110-metre six which he hit against Naveen ul Haq. This six came in the 19th over of KKR’s innings.

This was the second longest six by any Indian batter for IPL 2023. Before it, the star left-handed batter Shivam Dube had smashed 111-metre six against RCB at Chinnaswamy Stadium. The longest six of this season belongs to Faf Du Plessis(114-m) which he smashed against LSG.In this match, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bowl first. While batting first, Lucknow Supergiant hung 176 runs on the board at the loss of eight wickets.

Nicholas Pooran played the most sensational knock for LSG where he scored 58 runs in just 30 balls with the help of four fours and five sixes. He got support from the other batter too where de Cock scored 28 runs, while Prerak Mankad got 26 runs and Ayush Badoni contributed with 25 runs.For KKR, Shardul Thakur, Sunil Narine and Vaibhav Arora got two wickets each. Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy bagged one wicket each in their kitty.While chasing the target of 177 runs, KKR got a good start where Venkatesh Iyer and Jason Roy added 61 runs for the first wicket.

Iyer departed on 24 runs while Jason Roy got 45 runs before he got dismissed by Krunal Pandya.KKR started losing wickets in a streak but Rinku Singh held one end and scored 67 runs in 33 balls which includes six fours and four sixes.KKR needed 21 runs in the last over and 12 from the last 2 balls. Singh managed to get 10 runs only with the help of a four and then a six on the last ball but fell short by one run.Nicholas Pooran who single handedly carried the batting of LSG with his brilliant 58 runs received the player of the match award.
