Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni arrived in Chennai on March 2 and on the very next day(March 3) the team had their first training session. Along with Dhoni almost all the players have reached their den.
In preparation for the Indian Premier League 2023, Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni was spotted honing his skills in the nets of the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The video of Dhoni practising in nets was posted on the official instagram account of Chennai Super Kings. In this video, the player can be seen playing some drives along the ground.
This is being said to be the last season for MS Dhoni in the IPL. The wicketkeeper batter has been playing for the team since 2008 and he has been the captain of the team since then only. Last year, CSK management made Ravindra Jadeja the captain of Chennai Super Kings but the results did not come in his favor and Jadeja had to leave the captaincy after seven matches.
Dhoni had talked many times on his retirement and it is noted that the batter has wished to retire playing across all the grounds of India. Dhoni wants to thank his fans for all their love, support and motivation.
The 16th edition of IPL will start on 31st march where Chennai Super Kings will take on the defending champion Gujarat Titans.
