Former Indian captain and the current Chennai Super Kings(CSK) Mahendra Singh Dhoni has arrived in Chennai for the 16th edition of IPL. Widely known as Thala, he was grandly welcomed at the airport. The team will start its practice session for IPL 2023 tomorrow and all the other players of the team will join the camp very soon.
At the airport, Dhoni was seen wearing black goggles and a T-shirt and a video is surfacing on the internet where Captain Cool can be seen entering his car along with the guard.
The 41-year-old, who joined the Yellow Army in 2008, is getting ready to play in his 16th IPL. The veteran is the IPL’s second-most successful captain, behind only Rohit Sharma, who has won five IPL championships.
Before Dhoni, some other players of the team had already arrived. Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu who are part of CSK this year are already there in Chennai along with young guns like Rajvardhan Hangrekar and Mukesh Chaudhary.
Cricinformer want to inform that Chennai Super Kings will play its first match of the season against the defending champions Gujarat Titans on March 31.
