In the 43rd match of IPL 2023, Lucknow Super Giants faced a close defeat in the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. Chasing a challenging target of 127, LSG looked nowhere in the match and at last it was RCB who clinched a 18-run win against the home team.
The highlight of the match was the heated conversation between RCB star batter Virat Kohli and the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants Gautam Gambhir. After a terrific victory, Kohli celebrated in his own style which Gambhir could not digest and later on it turned into a word of war between these two players. It was highlighted that Gambhir was seen pointing out finger at Kohli after which the RCB batter gave it back to Kohli.
Seeing the terrible situation between Gambhir and the RCB batter, players and staff members from both the sides interfered in the matter and helped to calm down the situation.
