WATCH: Vamshhi Krishna Joins The Elite List Of Yuvraj Singh, Gibbs And Shastri, Smashes 6 Sixes In An Over

The opening batsman of Andhra Pradesh Vamshhi Krrishna has made history by hitting six consecutive sixes against Railways in the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy at YS Raja Reddy ACP Cricket Stadium in Kadapa.

This remarkable feat against wrist spinner Damandeep Singh established him as the fourth Indian batter to achieve such a milestone.

Vamshhi Krrishna entered an elite list alongside Ravi Shastri, Yuvraj Singh, and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who have previously done this wonder. Krrishna’s outstanding performance continued as he scored 110 off 64 balls, including nine fours and ten sixes. As the highest run-scorer of the innings, he played a crucial role in Andhra’s total of 378 in their first innings.

Krrishna showcased his prowess by hitting the wrist spinner to every corner of the ground. His sequence included a slog-sweep over deep square leg for the first six, followed by smashing the second ball over the bowler’s head. The explosive opener continued the hitting in the next four deliveries all on the on-side, achieving a historic feat with six consecutive sixes.

The Indian all-rounder Ravi Shastri holds the distinction of being the first Indian batter to accomplish the remarkable feat. He achieved this milestone while playing for Mumbai against Baroda during the 1985-86 Ranji Trophy season.

South African legend Herschelle Gibbs was the first player to smash six sixes in an over at International level, which he did against Netherlands during the 2007 T20 World Cup.
