Watch Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s gesture for Ms Dhoni wins the internet

On Tuesday, the youngest player ever, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, went up against the oldest, 43-year-old MS Dhoni, in an exciting match between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Suryavanshi showed his talent by hitting 57 runs off just 33 balls, leading RR to a win over Dhoni’s CSK. After the game, the two players shared a special moment when Suryavanshi bowed to seek Dhoni’s blessings.

In the end, Suryavanshi was the top scorer with his impressive 57, helping the Rajasthan Royals wrap up IPL 2025 with a six-wicket victory over CSK at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This result means CSK will finish at the bottom of the points table unless they can turn their luck around against the Gujarat Titans on Sunday.

Thanks to bowlers Akash Madhwal and Yudhvir Singh Charak, who took three wickets each, RR managed to limit CSK to 187/8. Suryavanshi wowed the crowd with his four boundaries and four sixes, clinching the win with 17 balls left, shaking off their earlier struggles in chasing scores this season.

Suryavanshi and Sanju Samson were both on fire, with some wonderful shots during the power-play, ending it at 56/1. Samson launched a six off Ravichandran Ashwin and Suryavanshi nailed a six of his own while piling on the runs. Just as Suryavanshi reached his fifty with another six, he eventually fell to Ashwin for 57 runs.

Despite losing Riyan Parag soon after, Dhruv Jurel kept the momentum going with some big hits. Shimron Hetmyer also chipped in before Jurel hit the winning six off Pathirana, wrapping up IPL 2025 on a high note for the Royals.
