The Royal Challengers Bengaluru players pulled a prank on Virat Kohli in the dressing room after their win against Rajasthan Royals in an IPL 2025 match on Monday. RCB shared the funny video on social media. Tim David started it all by taking one of Kohli’s bats from his kitbag while the other players watched. It didn’t take long for Kohli to notice something was off. He said, I counted my bats yesterday; it was seven. It’s six now, looking confused as he searched around.
David joked, “I want to see how long it will take Virat to realize we have taken one of his bats.” Kohli eventually found his bat in another bag, and David defended himself, saying, I didn’t take it, I just borrowed it, which got everyone laughing. Kohli then asked, Sabko pata tha na (Everyone knew about it, right?)
On the field, Kohli also made headlines by becoming only the second player to reach 100 half-centuries in T20s during the same match. He played a solid role in chasing down a target of 174 runs. While Phil Salt was aggressive at one end, Kohli kept things steady and rotated the strike well. He hit a six to get his milestone in the 15th over, joining David Warner as the only player with that many fifties in T20 cricket.
During the game, Kohli got a bit lucky when a catch went through Riyan Parag’s hands early on. After that, he took advantage of some poor bowling and formed a strong partnership with Devdutt Padikkal, helping RCB secure a 9-wicket victory. Kohli ended up scoring 62 not out off 45 balls, with a couple of sixes and four fours. With this win, RCB moved into third place in the standings with eight points, trailing Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans.
