Both Kane Williamson and Tim Southee are set to represent the Blackcaps for the 100th time in test-match cricket. Both the players were joined by their kids on their special days.
Coming out to bat, Kane Williamson received a special cheer from the crowd; however, the batter could not make his outing memorable as he was dismissed by Josh Hazelwood on 17.
New Zealand, on the other hand, were bowled out with just 162 on the board, with Hazelwood picking up five wickets for Australia.
The Blackcaps are currently trailing by 0-1 in the ongoing test series as they were beaten by Australia in the opening match by 172 runs.
This test match became quite special for Mitchell Starc, as the bowler became the fourth-highest wicket taker for Australia in test matches, going past Dennis Lillee.
